Teaching procedures:
Step 1. Warning Up.
Today, I will bring you a new friend. Look, who’s he?
Can you say sth. about Lan Yangyang ? He is very … (fat, cute, lovely… )
T: And he is very greedy. (贪吃的)
9:00 in the morning-eating.
10:00 in the morning-drinking.
2:00 in the afternoon-singing.
(板书)
What are you doing?
I’m …(ing)
Step 2. Presentation:
1.       Sing a song : “This is the way”
Form the song, we know the boy can sweep the floor.
2.     Teach: ①sweep the floor.
The boy can sweep the floor. But Lan Yangyang can’t. He is very lazy.
He always sleeps. What is he doing? →He’s sweeping.
And he can’t sweep the floor, he can’t wash clothes/dishes.
He can’t do housework. Can you do housework?
3.       Teach: the title: Today, we will talk sth. about housework.
(板书): Unit 6 Doing housework
T→S: What housework can you do?
S: I can…
Lan Yangyang can’t do housework. So he is very worried. He says“Can you…?”
S: Sure. (I can …)
Teach: Help … with … (板书: Help … with …)
4.     Now, Lan Yangyang can do housework. Thank you, boys and girls.
But Lan Yangyang is not good at his homework. So he says“Can you…?”
Teach: Maths.
5.     Chant: With your help, Lan Yangyang can finish his housework and homework.
He is very happy now. Let’s say a happy chant with him.
6.     语法介绍.
Try to remember: If you want to say sth. is doing sth. you should use this grammar.(语法介绍)
7. Say and do.
With the grammar:
Now, can you say the sentences with your partner?
Here are some pictures for you.
8.学生边说边做:(Say and do →sport time)
T: Look, he/she is … (ing). How about Lan Yangyang and his friends?
What are they doing? Look, they are playing in the playground.
Ask your partner, what are they doing?
(板书:What is he/she doing? He/She is … (ing).)
9. Teach : Part A.
1. Lan Yangyang and his friends are very happy in the playground.
How about Su Hai …? (板书:What about…?)
2. Listen and judge.
Listen, the telephone is ringing. What are they talking about?
3. Read and answer.
Read Part A carefully, and answer the questions.
插:电话用语介绍。
From the telephone call, we can know: what is Su Hai doing?
4. Read after teacher.
5. Fill in the form.→Read the pasesege.
6.     Nancy, Su Hai and Su Yang are very busy at the weekend. How about your weekend? Here are two topics for you. Please choose one to talk to your partner.
7.     Help each other, love each other, we are family!
Step 3 Homework
1. Listen to the tape and read Part A after it .
